Useful books

The following books I found useful

Rainbow Piano Technique
Annie Wang
Annie Wang Publications; 1st edition (Apr 07, 2008)
At 3 years of age, our son started with the Rainbow Piano Technique. Meanwhile, he gave public concerts, was featured on TV and in the Los Angeles Times, and recently, at age 4, he was guest in the popular Taiwanese show ''Guess Guess Guess''.
Think Like a Champion
Donald J. Trump
Vanguard Press; 1st edition (Apr 14, 2009)
To the point, well written, and encouraging, but does not contain detailed advice.
The Elements of Style
William Strunk Jr. and E. B. White
Longman; 4th edition (July 23, 1999)
Probably, a must-have for any writer. While writing on my PhD thesis, I went through this book over and over again whenever I rode on the underground/subway.
The Craft of Scientific Writing
Michael Alley
Springer; 3rd edition (September 2, 1998)
Similar in spirit to 'the Elements of Style', but specifically for scientific writing. Before reading Alley's book and the Strunk and White, my scientific writing was bad.
The Craft of Scientific Presentations
Michael Alley
Springer; 1st edition (2003)
I used the guidelines in this book for designing my PhD-defense presentation. The feedback after the presentation was throughout positive.
Latex Einfuehrung (Band 1)
Helmut Kopka
Pearson Studium
Great as a reference while working with the text-processing system Latex. I looked up things in this book for literally a thousand times. This book is the only one I used for learning Latex.
Pour Your Heart Into It: How Starbucks Built a Company One Cup at a Time
Howard Schultz
Hyperion (Jan 6, 1999)
Interesting insights from the man who made Starbucks into an international company. This story is a nice example for the power of vision.
The Art of Electronics
Paul Horowitz and Winfield Hill
Cambridge University Press; 2nd edition (July 28, 1989)
I learned the 'golden rules' of operational amplifiers from this book. These rules turned out to be really useful for designing circuits.
